The best way imho i ever managed to win this game, with other words become king of the 7 kingdoms starting as lower lord, was trough the sole use of sex and seduction. it's not su much that they often need to be re-tamed and you practicly have to sacrifice family members, but even more than family members might get ambitious with them against you, which tends to happen after a while as the dragons begin to accumulate.
Once you have dragons, sure conquest can be rather easy, keeping dragons+dragonriders in the family however can be a challenge. There are many factors which can make it almost guaranteed but you almost need to be a targ to be sure about it, and for most characters it can lead to game over. It's "easier" for those of the High valyrian culture but there are only 4 family's which are of that culture, Targ's, Blackfyre's, Celtigars and Velaryons, and even then many of them still get a 50% of getting eaten by the dragon rather than taming it.
Succes chance her is rather low across the map unless for certain specific characters. youre average lord has about 10% chance of succesfull hatching and about 90% of seeing himself and/or some/all of his family killed with the failed attempt. It's not so easy, although afcourse you are trying to take a shortcut.ġ) 1000 gold can take a while to safe up for a smaller lord, and you can use it for other things too like taking some other lordship with mercenary'sĢ) Youre colonization might fail, loosing you the moneyģ) Getting a dragonegg might take long, or you might even never get it.Ĥ) What, so youre saying that after you obtain the egg hatching it is peanuts and keeping youre dragons too?
